The Morning: Crushing the Serpent's Head

That same morning, before Jola called, I boiled all my “materials”. I put it on the floor in a bag and crushed it with my heel.

My intention was to re-enact Jesus crushing the snake's head from Genesis 3:15—"He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

While I was doing this, Jola called. She said the Holy Spirit told her to call me and ask if I wanted to be baptized that day.

I said yes without hesitation.
